Emmelyn got a chance to meet many more of her mom's cousins, and their children during the trip to Minnesota. They all loved Emmelyn --especially cousins McKenna, Mya, Sophie and 2-year-old Cadie (who is pictured with her mom, Christine). They were almost in a tug-of-war over who got to hold Em next! It was so cute, and she is a lucky girl to have such loving family. :-) We are tempted to move back to Minnesota simply to have McKenna and Sophie as potential babysitters in coming years! They loved Em and were so great with the baby. McKenna and her little sister Mya are anxious for Emmelyn's return this summer; last summer when I was pregnant they couldn't wait until she arrived in order to have a new swimming buddy. We are hoping we can squeeze in a day trip to great Grandpa Earl's cabin on South Twin Lake, if the weather cooperates when we are (hopefully) back the weekend of June 10 for the wedding of our friends Nate and Melissa in Fargo. (Nate was Joe's college roomie). Hopefully during our next visit, it won't be -21 degrees like it was this trip. Emmelyn did not enjoy the cold. (Guess we can't blame her). She is a Utah girl and appreciates a balmy 35 degrees for her cold days.
