Easter Egg Hunt!

Spring at last!

It has been a gorgeous week in Salt Lake City. We spent a lot of time outdoors over the weekend. On Saturday, Emmelyn and I headed out to cheer on friends at the Salt Lake City Marathon. She loved watching the runners and got a kick out of the people dressed up in costumes who waved at her.

On Sunday, we went for a long walk in the sunshine and played outside while Joe worked on cleaning up the backyard. It is looking good and is almost ready to be played in for the rest of spring/summer.

Emmelyn continues to be a crawling machine and she is FAST. Of course, she goes for all things that she shouldn't touch --the cat's water bowl, unattended cell phones and the cat's tail/whiskers/paws, etc. :-) Luckily, Mopsy takes it all in stride and usually just ducks out of the way. She continues to find her voice, and we'll be ready when she phases out of the top-of-her-lungs screech she seems to find entertaining right now.

Emmelyn turns 8 months old!

Our Emmelyn turns 8 months old this weekend. Where did the time go? She is now crawling like a madwoman, scarfing down solids (sweet potatoes and pears are her favorite, but also loves oatmeal and apricots)and is a busy, busy girl.

Today we took her to have some Easter pictures done at Gardner Village with live bunnies and baby ducks. She didn't know quite what to think and got a little scared, but we still got some cute photos. We might have to try again next year when it is not so scary! Hopefully the photography place will post the Easter pics later and we can steal them and put them on our blog.
