Emmelyn's first Thanksgiving fell on the same day as her mom's 30th birthday! In true Fargo-Moorhead style, a huge blizzard hit making travel tricky, so great-grandpa and grandma got stuck in Ulen. Emmelyn watched her grandma cook a turkey in the kitchen and slept most of the day away.

Emmelyn and great-grandma and grandpa/grandparents
Emmelyn was the fifth generation to wear her baptismal gown. The gown was made from her great great (great?) grandmother's wedding dress a long time ago. It was the same one her mom wore back in 1981!
Emmelyn and her cousins
Emmelyn loved hanging out with cousins Tessa and Lucas in November. It will be fun to see what happens the next time they are together as everyone will be mobile!
Emmelyn's first trip to Duane's Pizza
We had a great time in Moorhead over Thanksgiving. We celebrated Emmelyn's baptism and the baptism of her cousin, Tessa, both on the same day at Good Shepherd. Em got to see both sets of grandparents, meet her aunt and uncle and cousin Lucas in addition to Tessa, meet great grandpa Earl and great grandma Loyal and meet her great uncle Don and great aunts Patti and Kathy. She also enjoyed meeting the Brechon side --with little Connor Kuyper there, there were 3 babies under one at the party! Busy, busy. Not to mention Em got introduced to several friends, including Amy, Hayden, Nate and Melissa. It was a busy weekend/week and we are glad we've had a couple of days of downtime for Emmelyn (and us) to catch up. We squeezed in some Black Friday shopping and are getting the house ready for Christmas today. I am glad i hit the Carter's store as Emmelyn's toes are right at the bottom of all of her 3-month outfits. Time to pack them up and bring out the 6-month outfits --if not by the end of the day today, by the end of the week for sure.
